In accordance with the requirements for the recognition of national-level industrial design centers and the city’s key work plan for advancing the construction of a “City of Design,” the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization carried out the 2021 municipal-level design innovation center accreditation process. Following self-application by enterprises and public institutions and review at both the municipal and district levels, 45 municipal-level design innovation centers were designated, along with one entity identified as a candidate for cultivation.
Shanghai Municipal Institute of Architectural Design was recognized as a municipal-level design innovation enterprise for 2021.
This recognition as a municipal-level design innovation enterprise fully demonstrates society’s acknowledgment of our design institute’s capabilities in product design innovation.
In recent years, the design institute has worked to refine its innovation system in line with industry characteristics and the demands of technological advancement, leveraging the effective integration of innovation resources as a key breakthrough to substantially enhance its capacity for independent technological innovation and thereby sustain and strengthen the company’s core competitiveness.
Going forward, the design institute will continuously encourage technological innovation, strengthen the development of its innovation teams and incentive mechanisms, and refine its talent management system, performance appraisal and promotion framework, and research成果 management system. By cultivating and attracting top-tier, high-caliber professionals, the institute will solidify its talent pipeline and enhance its capacity for innovative design.
