To solemnly commemorate the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up, to promote the spirit of reform and innovation, and to fully showcase the achievements attained by Shanghai’s surveying and design industry through bold reforms, relentless pursuit of progress, proactive transformation, and innovative efforts to strengthen itself, the Shanghai Surveying and Design Association has specially organized the “Selection and Commendation Event for Outstanding Contributions in the Surveying and Design Industry Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-up.” The purpose of this event is to highlight exemplary models, recognize outstanding individuals and organizations, and publicize the surveying and design industry’s continued commitment to further reform and opening-up in the new era, thereby contributing to the realization of the Two Centenary Goals.
On January 8, 2019, the Shanghai Survey and Design Association convened a summit titled “Shanghai Survey and Design Industry Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-Up and the Second Session of the Eighth Membership Congress of the Shanghai Survey and Design Industry Association.” The event brought together numerous leading masters, experts, renowned entrepreneurs, and outstanding designers from Shanghai’s survey and design sector, during which several awards were presented, including the “Outstanding Contribution Award for the Survey and Design Industry in Commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-Up.” Shen Zuhong, Chairman and General Manager of our company, was honored with the nomination award for “Outstanding Entrepreneur in the Shanghai Survey and Design Industry.”
Chairman Shen Zuhong has been in the workforce for more than 40 years, during which he has witnessed the entire 40-year journey of China’s reform and opening-up. Throughout his career, he has consistently upheld the principle of adhering to fundamental principles in major matters while emphasizing a refined and professional approach in minor ones; he has also steadfastly championed collective decision-making, thereby fostering a cohesive and highly effective leadership team. A bold innovator and relentless go-getter, he has particularly excelled in guiding the enterprise through post-reform challenges following the restructuring of the design institute, leading the organization to persevere and strive with determination. Through continuous innovation and development, the company has ultimately achieved remarkable economic and social benefits.
This award also serves as recognition of the Design Institute’s contributions to Shanghai’s surveying and design industry over the past 40 years of China’s reform and opening-up, while further enhancing the Institute’s industry influence and reputation.
