8. Detection and Assessment of Exterior Finish Defects in Buildings

Background: To ensure the safety of a building’s exterior finish or for purposes such as defect detection and maintenance, it is necessary to understand the defects and damages that may occur in the exterior finish.

Job Responsibilities: Employing techniques such as infrared thermography, defects in exterior decorative materials are detected, and the extent and locations of damage to the exterior wall facade are analyzed and assessed.

Function: Effectively prevent the detachment of exterior finish layers on buildings, particularly high-rise structures, thereby reducing losses. Clearly identify the location and extent of damage to the exterior finish and determine the specific areas requiring repair.
