7. Comprehensive Inspection and Assessment of Outstanding Historic Buildings and Survey of Cultural Relic Buildings

Background: Any work involving the restoration, renovation and expansion, relocation, change of use, or alterations to the original structural system, floor plan, and interior and exterior finishes of outstanding historic buildings and cultural heritage buildings shall be subject to a comprehensive inspection and assessment.

Job Responsibilities: Conduct research and verification of the historical evolution and architectural style of outstanding historic buildings and cultural heritage structures, and identify key components for prioritized protection. Perform detailed on-site surveying and mapping of the building’s architecture and structural systems. Carry out comprehensive and integrated inspection and assessment of outstanding historic buildings and cultural heritage structures.

Function: Technical and managerial guidelines necessary for the planning, design, and construction of projects involving outstanding historic buildings and cultural heritage structures.
