On the afternoon of June 9, 2025, the Party Committee of Shangfang Courtyard convened an expanded meeting, during which it conducted a thematic Party lesson and exchange session on thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Central Committee’s Eight-Point Regulation and ensuring the high-quality completion of all tasks related to the special study and education campaign. The meeting was chaired by Xiang Wei, Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee, with participation from members of the Party Committee and branch committee members.

Since the issuance of the Party Central Committee’s Eight-Point Regulation, the Party has continuously advanced its institutionalization and normalization, thereby forging a spirit that is more universally guiding and serving as a crucial lever for strengthening the Party’s work style in the new era. This spirit is not merely an institutional measure for improving work style; it represents a profound self-revolution—spanning from thought to action and extending from the “key few” to the broad ranks of Party members and cadres. This thematic Party class and study exchange is designed to further clarify the specific tasks and practical pathways for Party building within the enterprise. Grounded in the essence and core meaning of specialized study and education, and tailored to the unique characteristics of the company’s business areas, it seeks to inherit and carry forward the Party’s fine traditions and work style, deepen efforts to improve work style, and effectively translate the Party’s “political strengths” and “organizational strengths” into “developmental advantages” and “productive forces” that drive the enterprise forward through challenges and ensure steady, long-term progress.

At the meeting, Xiang Wei, Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee, pointed out:

I. Strengthen Theoretical Study and Thoroughly Grasp the Essential Connotations of Learning and Education

The focus of this special study and education campaign is to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Central Committee’s Eight-Point Regulation. In essence, for our institute’s Party-building work, the priority and key lies in strengthening the Party’s style of work. All Party members must deeply understand the profound significance of strengthening the Party’s style of work, uphold the principle of setting an example from the top down and leading by demonstration, and, through this special study and education initiative, further consolidate and deepen the achievements of Party-discipline education, advance comprehensively and rigorously Party governance in greater depth. The improvement of the Party’s style of work should be made a central component of the annual Party-building agenda, so as to unite hearts and minds, pool strength, and inspire dedication and entrepreneurship through a fine and exemplary work style.

II. Carry Forward the Spirit of Struggle and Strengthen Awareness of the Big Picture in Assuming Responsibility and Taking Action

Strengthening the Party’s work style first requires all Party members to carry forward the spirit of struggle and enhance their sense of responsibility and commitment to the overall situation. Every Party member should strive to be willing, bold, and adept at taking on responsibilities. It is essential to clearly identify the role of one’s own duties in serving the broader interests, and never to remain a mere bystander, a passing traveler, or an outsider. With heavy responsibilities on our shoulders, we must dare to take responsibility and deliver results; we need a vision that focuses on the bigger picture and the ability to solve problems creatively. This calls for continuous learning, practical application, and systematic reflection; we must be good at summarizing work experience, properly handling both achievements and mistakes, and constantly advancing our work. Being adept at taking responsibility is precisely where our ability to manage complex issues lies. In the face of an increasingly complex and challenging situation—marked by mounting external pressures and growing internal difficulties—we must continually strengthen our insight, foresight, decisiveness, and execution capabilities. We must confront problems head-on, bravely shoulder heavy burdens, and respond proactively, while at the same time remaining clear-headed, pragmatic, steady, and making decisions based on sound science.

III. Strengthen Awareness of Implementation and Foster a Positive Culture of Pragmatic Action

We must further strengthen our sense of execution and foster a positive culture of earnest, pragmatic work. This requires both the drive to implement tasks efficiently—by cultivating a strong sense of time management and prioritizing productivity—to accelerate and enhance the effectiveness of every undertaking, and by promoting a mindset of immediate action and prompt follow-through. It also calls for unwavering perseverance: whatever tasks are assigned or projects are set in motion, no matter how challenging, they must be resolutely carried out. In particular, with regard to key initiatives that are critical to the company’s development, we must adopt special measures, maintain close oversight throughout the entire process, and see each initiative through to completion—never starting well but failing to finish, or losing momentum halfway through. Finally, we need an unrelenting spirit of hard work and determination, recognizing the overarching trends of industry transformation and reinforcing our sense of mission and responsibility.

We must embody the spirit of “bravely shouldering heavy responsibilities”—refusing to make excuses for difficulties and instead seeking solutions that lead to success, while boldly taking the lead. We must ensure that our work is thoroughly implemented and delivers tangible results. We need to strengthen the awareness of “everyone contributing to the common cause”: every Party member must firmly embrace the mindset of “the entire institute as one cohesive unit,” aligning our thoughts and pooling our efforts. Through concerted collaboration and mutual support, each individual should leverage their unique strengths, thereby forging a powerful synergy that drives the development of the Design Institute.

IV. Dare to pioneer and innovate, and cultivate the fine style of being the first to take the lead.

The construction industry is currently facing enormous challenges. While rising to these challenges, we must also dare to pioneer and innovate, cultivating a fine work style characterized by boldness in taking the lead. In our work, we must break free from conventional ways of thinking, place great emphasis on learning, boldly pursue innovation, continuously explore new ideas, new initiatives, and new directions, and strive to be among the best. We should aim for excellence in our capabilities and competencies—after all, “a short rope cannot draw water from a deep well, and shallow waters cannot carry a large boat.” To this end, we must ground ourselves in the requirements of our respective positions, intensify our learning, and diligently hone our core skills. We should also strive for excellence in our work standards by summoning the courage to “venture forth,” boosting our drive to “go all out,” and igniting our competitive spirit to “strive for the top.” We must firmly embrace the principle that there is no such thing as “the best”—only “better.” When we act, we must deliver outstanding results; when we compete, we must aim for the very best. Furthermore, we should strive for excellence by benchmarking against leading practices: identifying the right areas to compete in, setting ambitious targets to catch up, and translating those goals into concrete actions. Each Party member is a banner, and each Party branch is a fortress. We must maximize the exemplary and pioneering role of Party members, leading our colleagues through personal example to advance and develop together, thereby turning the company’s Party building into a tangible force for productivity and a palpable source of cohesion.

Style of work is image; style of work is strength; style of work is productivity! All Party members must cultivate a sense of responsibility characterized by constant vigilance and an unwavering spirit of proactive commitment and action. Starting with ourselves, focusing on small but critical matters, and tackling the most salient problems head-on, we must continuously translate the political and organizational strengths of Party building into our institute’s advantages in innovation, competitiveness, and development.
