3. Building Inspection, Monitoring, and Assessment under Construction Impacts (Damage Trend Detection)

Background: When a building may be affected by underground construction activities such as nearby metro lines, tunnels, or excavation pits, or when a building is located within the impact zone of such construction.

Job Responsibilities: A comprehensive project for the inspection, monitoring, and assessment of buildings affected by construction is divided into three phases: pre-construction inspection, in-construction monitoring, and post-construction inspection. The project involves documenting the condition of buildings before and after construction, monitoring settlement and crack development during the construction period, and evaluating the impact of construction on the buildings.

Function: Effectively mitigates the adverse impacts of underground construction on adjacent buildings and alleviates conflicts; provides a clear basis for determining liability in the event of disputes; serves as a necessary basis for environmental impact assessments of excavation projects in Shanghai.
