Background: When the seismic design requirements for existing buildings are upgraded, when their intended use is changed, or when structural renovation (such as expansion or reconstruction) is planned.
Job Responsibilities: Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the building, with particular emphasis on assessing its seismic performance in light of proposed renovation and expansion plans and providing recommendations for remedial measures.
Function: The necessary technical basis for the design of residential renovation and expansion, and the essential documentation for design review.
