Gu is an undergraduate in civil engineering at Tongji University and postgraduate at East China Normal University, senior engineer, national certified investment counselor, national certified real estate appraiser, national certified supervision engineer and member of the Chartered Institute of Building, who also acquired construction project judicial expertise qualification and Shanghai historical relic protection professional certificate and serves as an expert of China National Association of Engineering Consultants, expert of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Construction and Administration Science and Technology Committee, commissioner of Shanghai Housing Inspection Technology Commission, expert of Shanghai Commission of Biding Administration, director of Shanghai Exploration and Design Trade Association and the director-general of National Urban Housing Design Research Net.
Expertise: Gu is engaged in engineering design, material research, building inspection, reinforcement design, construction and management, education and research into architectural engineering and serves as a project leader of a good number of research projects and chief editor of Shanghai New Wall Material Application and Design Specifications and Drawing Collection, who won Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award and holds numerous patents.
